The only downside in my experiments with using the iPhone is having to use a Windows-based video editor. My software (Sony Vegas) drops the audio track from any Apple product. Anyone have a fix for this?

WiFi would be a great addition to the Flip. Thanks for mentioning that, Bob. And Steve, you may be interested in what the folks at WIBW in Topeka are doing--they put a cell-phone mount on every camera so they can stream live video by phone while shooting. http://www.newslab.org/2010/03/29/one-newsrooms-all-platform-strategy/

Ive been using the Motorola Droid for breaking news...even to the extent of having a tripod mount made for it so it can mount right on top my regular news camera. For distant locations, works wonders and the audio quality is light years ahead of other cellphone vidoes.

I heard one of the things Cisco was going to do when they acquired Flip was make it a wi-fi capable device so you can send videos wirelessly. We've yet to see it, but I can't imagine we won't see that soon. I love using my I-phone to send videos...the quickness of it is great. Also, I follow Flip on Facebook. They often have some decent things to say (sometimes you have to wade through the other postings that aren't useful).
